Embossing Resist Tutorial

Good evening everyone and welcome to my second project of the month using the newly released clear stamp sets from Stampers Delights. Today's card using the gorgeous Anime Cheers stamp set and the embossing resist technique. This is a fun technique and a great way to make your own fun background too.

For this card, I used a red card base, a mat layer of dark brown and then a layer of white paper, which will be the embossed layer. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut my image as well as stamping the sentiments in red to match the card base and gathered some matching red ribbon as well.

For the embossed layer, I used some Versamark ink, Clear embossing powder, a dark red ink (Called Merlot, which I thought would match the wine perfectly!) and my embossing powder buddy.

If you have never used one of these before they are fabulous. Cover the card with the powder buddy by tapping the powder all over. Then when you stamp and emboss, the embossing powder should only stick to the parts with the ink on and not stick to the rest of the card.

I used the two clocks and all the numbers and stamped them randomly all over my white card and embossed with the clear powder. It is a little hard to see in the photo, but hopefully you can see some of the embossing. It does look a bit silvery in the photo too, but this is just the light reflecting off the embossed powder.

Using a sponge blender, I then inked over the whole piece of card with my dark red ink. I then buffed over the embossed parts with some tissue to remove as much of the ink as possible. Red does tend to stain the embossing powder a little, but you can still see the effect.

I then layered my sentiments on to more of the dark brown card and popped them and the main image up on foam pads. I added a bow to the bottom corner and some dots of glitter glue randomly for an extra touch of sparkle.

And here is the card with the stamp set...

You can read about this card and the Copic combos I used on my blogpost here.

I hope you have enjoyed this fun tutorial. I would love to see what you do with it. Don't forget to share your projects with us in the Stampers Delights Facebook Group

Double Slider Surprise Christmas Card

Hello Stampers Delights fans. I hope you have all been loving the new releases this month. I know I have and the projects from the Design Team so far have all been amazing.

My first project this month features the adorable Chibi A Gift For You clear stamp set. I love how versatile this set is with all the different sentiments, making it so easy to use for so many different occasions.

I chose to make a double slider surprise card using a die set and made it into a Christmas card.

To start, I die cut the elements from the set, but essentially you need 2 large circles, 2 smaller circles, 1 smaller patterned paper circle for the main part of the card. For the slider pieces you need 2 tag shaped pieces and the layers for those if wanted and the sliders elements, which are just squares of card with 4 thin slider strips cut out.

I stamped and coloured the main image and lots and lots of presents before fussy cutting them all out.

Following the instructions for adding the layers, I assembled the card, so that the slider elements were attached with foam tape, allowing them to move smoothly. I then popped up my main image, sentiment banner and some of the presents on foam pads for the front.

The rest of the presents I glued flat on to the slider tags so they would not affect the movement.

And here is the closed card with the stamp set...

Doesn't it look cute with all those presents everywhere?! You can read more about this card and the Copic combos I have used on my blogpost here.

I hope you have enjoyed this fun, interactive card. Don't forget to take a look at all the other fabulous projects from the rest of the DT this month and why not pop on over to the Stampers Delights Facebook Group and share your own cards and projects there too?!

New Anime Clear stamp Coloring video - Flower pattern

Hi,

Eivor here, and today I am going to show you a copic tutorial video. I am coloring the new clear stamp "Anime Cheers" top in a flower pattern.

I made a tag this time, and I think it will be perfect to tie for example on a bottle. A perfect thing to give to the host if you go to a dinner or a party. Maybe the New Years party?!

Here you can see the stamp set, with all different words, numbers at a beautiful clock.

Now it is time to show my first coloring video...hope you like it.

I have used the color R20 and R22 for my flowers.

Below I also edit some pictures on my tutorial.

First R20 (the brightest)

Second color R22

When the flowers are done. I let the image rest for a while, so the ink can dry just a little and then I color the hole top with R000. Just to get a soft soft color top. I don't go over the flowers just arround.

I like to remind you all of our Progressive FB Challenge for October that is live now and also to join our Stampers Delights Fan Group on Facebook.

New Chibi Clear stamp Tutorial - Copic background

Hi,

Eivor here again. Today I will show you a tutorial on how to do a little darker, maybe little Halloween-background with copics. For this card I used the new released Chibi clear stamp "Too cute to spook". It is a lovely stamp and it is a 4x4 set so you also get other stamps that are perfect for Halloween or Autumn card in the set.

Hope you have checked out the shop and seen all the new stamps Stampers Delights released this weekend.

I have, as I mentioned earlier colored the background with copics. I wanted a kind of dark, little different, sky so I tried some other colors than usually, I hope you like it. I think it is perfekt for a little spoooooky card.

Here above I want to show you the stamp set with all the lovely stamps you get. I do love the different text stamps! You can find the stamp HERE in the shop.

So to my background tutorial.

First color I used is YG97. I color close to the image. I like it to be darkest, a shadow.

Then I take YG95 and go over the YG97 and extending a little.

I then go back and color over the the area closest to the image with YG97 again.

Then it is time for YG95 again and now I color most of the paper, to the edges. I go from the edges to the middle and then from the image and out to the middle, to the edges.

My last green color is YG93. With this I go over all the area I colored and also a bit higher from the YG93, so the green is little higher up on the image. The grass/ground finished.

Now it is time for the sky.
I start at the top of the paper with BV08. I just color...back and forward over the paper and as wide I like.

Next color is RV19. I go over BV08 and down on the paper. Leaving some small white spaces.

V06 is the third color and with that I go over the RV19 and continue little down the paper but not all the way to the green. Save a little space for our last color.

So last color, V05. Go over what you colored with V06 and then the hole way down to the green.

After this I do a second layer with all colors in the same way, BV08, RV19, V06 and V05.

I hope you liked my tutorial, and I hope you try to create your own background. If you do, please share it in Stampers Delights Fan Group

Thank you for stoping by today. I hope you visit Stampers Delights blog soon again, it is coming more inspirations from the team.
